Not that I am busy but did not want to update with the changes that happened.
Anything & ofcourse everything changes in the course of life and may be God is teaching me the same in HIS own way.
Summary of Changes:
Jay got married and moved to U.S.
And , Ani moved to Singapore.
We were moving around infa like the 'Three musketers' and suddenly..I was left all alone.
Missing them a lot.
I know I have to take it +vely .And I hope I am doing it till day. Good work, Alam. (That's hw they both call me)
Ctha got married and s njoying her married life nw.
Rams processed his h1b and moved to U.S.
(Ramasamy(Rams) is my school-mate. We met after 10 years in bangalore. Almost all my friends somehow got settled in chennai except for this guy. But may be I am destined to be here all alone..and so he 2 moved to U.S. Nice kind-hearted caring person..and infact he did introduce me to CDF, which is solely dedicated for supporting children's education. Missing him 2..(Actually not..cos v talk to each other in gtalk almost each day.) )
Now, let me try to recollect all happenings after my Thai trip till date.
Oct'07 : - The Month which proved that 'Road to a Friend's house is never Long'
Nov/Dec '07: - The Month(s) which invoked the 'Spirituality' in ME. The Month(s) when Ctha/Jay got settled in life.
Attended ctha's engagement in tirunelveli. Happy that she got engaged & got settled in life but sad due to the fact that..things r going to CHANGE soon after her marriage.
Took a week off and did some south india tour.
Visited Rameshwaram & other surrounding areas.
Rameshwarama houses Lord Shiva and the temple is very very very big. I was stunned by temple praharams(corridors). One should visit this place and have a walk around the corridors to admire the architecture of the temple.
Rameshwaram is yet another classic example of temples being maintained in a bad state down south. Not only the temple , the whole town itself needs to be renovated. One could clearly see the devastating remains of the cyclone that happ around 1960's. Nothing has been cleaned up since then.May be they are trying to show live-sample of aftermath of a cyclone.
Did visit the dhanushkodi temple ,which is the new temple built after the old one was destroyed during the cyclone.Watched out the crystal clear waters in Sethukkarai - the place itself is so serene and calm.
Had a glimpse of our President Dr.A.P.J Kalam's house. Then as usual did some shopping .But for a change this time it was my brother who shopped a lot.He was eager in shopping things for the house which he mite buy @ any time any where. And he was more eager in getting it done from my wallet.
Also visited Thirupullani,Devipattnam& Uthirakosamangai.
Thirupullani is said to be the place where Rama rested on grass doing tapas and hence the name. And the temple is famous for its Milk Payasam. Did have nearly two glasess of payasam and truly it was delicious.
We then visited devipatnam where one could see all navagrahas in water. Due to heavy rains , we could not see many of the navagrahas there.
Next is Uthirakosamangai.Uthirakosamangai temple was awesome and is supposed to be the oldest temple. It houses an emerald nataraja embedded with sandalwood. You can see the emerlad nataraja on only one day which is thiruvonam.(I think I am rite??). The paintings in the temple tower were splendid.
Soon after completing the rameshwaram tour, we proceeded to tirunelveli. My cousin, Hari , who is in Delhi, had cum 4 vacation to tirunelveli. And then I started my next tour. My dad & brother left for Bangalore while me & mom contined to tour.
[ Hari is my cousin-brother .....to be more precise my elder brother. The one guy who proved to me that anything can be achieved through HARD work. As against all turning out be s/w engineers in my family, he s the only exception who proved his BEST in business. He is now waiting to get settled in the next phase of life, MARRIAGE. He actually told me he would wait till I get married.May be he lost hopes.:-( (jst kidding) ]
Our first tour was to coutrallam. Though our primary intention was to do pooja @ hari's kulatheivam temple(Each family in tamilnadu has a kulatheivam which means 'Deity of family') which is in coutrallam , we couldn't control ourselves once we had a glimpse of Main falls. When we started for coutrallam , it was raining heavily and we were told they mite not allow bathing in any of the falls. Still we came prepared with backup dresses. To our luck, many people abstained visiting coutrallam that day due to rains but to our njoyment, we were allowed to bathe. We booked for the pooja in the temple and in the 30 mts time interval we did visit Main falls.
If you happen to visit coutrallam during season time, you hardly get place to stand and njoy ur bathe in the falls. As against that, the whole place was MINE. There was hardly no one, except me & my aunt in the Ladies section. Yet another time, I found out my love for water and I started singing and dancing. It is high time I learn swimming and njoy the closeness with water. But my only worry is about getting tanned in the chlorine water. I have it in my future plan of action after marriage.
While I was dreaming about all these and njoying the waters , I culd hear my aunt yelling and my cousin waving his hands asking me to stop my attrocities.I had to say BYE to the waters and come out.
Our next trip was to Kanyakumari .
I always wanted to get settled @ this place - which enlightened Swami Vivekananada , who is my role-model. Many used to tell me I am bold and confident.(Nt sure if this is valid now) But remember, courage is how you deep you hide your fears. I learnt it from My Master, Vivekananda. He has been my inspiration till date.Whenever I feel I am getting feared, I think of him. And believe it or not, many times, I have overcum my fear.'Watever u think, that u ARE' - These golden words would certainly enable any human to the path of enlightment.
We visited Bhagavathi amman temple where the Goddess did penance to Lord Shiva to marry her. Then, we visited the 'Rock Memorial', which houses the statue of Vivekananda. The way he stands, the way he looks @ all brings tears & confidence in you. The entire place is maintained neatly by kendra.
We then visited the newly constructed Thiruvalluvar statue which is mainted by the Government. One could see shops selling eatables & what not there. This is definitely going to destroy the beauty of both the rock memorial and the valluvar statue and pollute both.
Even before we visited Kanyakumari, we did visit Nagercoil temple and Suchindram temple.
Nagercoil houses the Nagaraja and the main speciality in this temple is the purohit speaks to the Naga deity in sign language. There is no chanting of verses in this temple .
Suchindram temple is well known for the tallest Hanuman statue which they say keeps growing and once it hits the ceiling, the world would be destroyed. I am not sure about the authenticity in the claim but the temple is worth visiting.
Whenver I visit Suchindram , I think of Ponna akka- Amutha's cousin-sis: My sis 2. Though I have never visited her home , I hv heard from ammu that her home s somewhere here.
[Amutha(Ammu) is my U.G college mate. The only ONE who graduated in Chemistry and is still doing her ph.d in Chemistry in Anna University. I actually feel proud of her.A very calm, silent, bit fat girl in college who has gone very notorious, attrocious&lean now. (Remember , life is full of changes.) I always love the dimple in her cheeks when she smiles.(No more dimples now..she has gone lean..rite??) ]
[Ponna akka got introduced to me as Ammu's cousin. A very loving, caring & beautiful sis who s s rite now settled in U.S with her hubby. And she will be delivering a beautiful cute Ponna/Sabhari soooonnnnnn. Best Wishes, akka.I did stay @ her house during my U.S trip. She & her hubby took me around couple of malls and helped me do some shopping.I can never 4get their hospitality& care.]
Days were running and finally the day arrived when I had to start to blr.
With heavy heart, I started to Bangalore to get in to business.
[Will continue the other changes sometime later]
